Questions we get
What does a timed slot actually mean?
You choose the hour you will arrive. Come in any time inside that hour — a 13:00 slot is good from 13:00 to 13:59 — and once you are in, you stay until we close. Miss your hour and the desk will fit you into the next one with space.
How does the annual pass work?
It is a photo card in your name, valid for twelve months from the day you buy it. Walk in at the pass gate without a slot, any day including After Dark. It comes with 10% off experiences and the café, and four guest tickets at S$32 to use across the year. Buy it at the desk on a visit and that day’s ticket comes off the price.
Can I bring a pushchair or a wheelchair?
Everywhere the visitors go, they go. The building is one long ramp down with lifts at both ends of the tunnel, and every window has a section at child and wheelchair height. Wheelchairs are free to borrow at the desk.
Is After Dark for children?
Over-twelves only, with an adult under sixteen. The lights are low, the music is on and the bar is open; it is a different evening from the day. Families are very welcome on any day slot up to 17:00.
Can I touch the animals?
At Ray Bay, yes — two fingers, on the back of a ray, with an aquarist beside you, at any time the hall is open. The Ray Bay Feed at 11:30 and 15:00 (S$28) puts you in the water with them. Nowhere else, and never the jellies.
Do you take the animals from the wild?
The jellies, corals, seahorses and most of the reef fish are bred here or at partner aquariums. The whale sharks and the manta came from a fishery-rescue programme in 2018 and 2021. Every animal in the building has a record you can ask to see on the Behind the Glass tour.
