The making of a hero

The object on our front page is a strange attractor — thousands of paths, one equation, disturbance that always heals. It is also the third version of itself. The first was killed for looking like something it wasn’t; the second for reading like a research diagram instead of an object in a room. Each kill is documented, with the reasons, in the project’s own design record. We publish our dead ends because the willingness to kill work is most of what quality is.

PARALLAX — Exhibit 00

A five-act exhibition that lives entirely in the browser: hand-placed beveled geometry, one porcelain material system with a strict scarcity of colour, and a camera that walks you from act to act like a visitor with a docent. Built as our own benchmark for what a six-figure web experience should feel like — then given a second, harder art-direction pass when the first version was judged not art-directed enough. The difference between those two versions is the studio’s actual product.

Esteem Auto Medics

A Singapore auto workshop whose customers arrive suspicious — of quotes, of upselling, of workshops in general. The public site is built around that fact: services in plain language, straight answers, no theatrics between a worried driver and a phone number. Behind it sits the part visitors never see: a working staff console, job tracker and accident-report flow on a live backend — because a trustworthy front needs a real operation underneath.

The Lab

Where techniques earn their place before client work is allowed to depend on them. WARP — playing on the left — is a playable loom: move your pointer and it strums; every thread is tuned so there are no wrong notes. THE INTERVAL turns scroll position into a film shutter over a real photographed sequence, its readout computed from the true frame rate rather than decoration. Small pieces, finished properly.
