Named for the root, not the flower.

ORRIS is a small perfume house built around iris butter. We buy aged rhizome paste from Florence, compound in short runs, and sell bottles only after a formula has been worn for weeks on real skin — not just smelled on a blotter.

How a bottle gets made

You build a spine on the blotter — top, heart, base. We compound a three-vial discovery kit first. If you keep it, we scale the same weights into a 50 ml flacon from the current run.

  • Materials weighed to 0.01 g on the bench
  • Alcohol rested 10 days before bottling
  • Each run capped — when stock hits zero, we wait for the next iris lot

What we will not do

No celebrity face, no seasonal drop calendar, no “limited” stickers on bottles that are not limited. If a material is short, the site shows low stock and we say so.
